Her unique style, strong voice and varied sound sets her apart from her contemporaries and although comparisons to Ms Dynamite wouldn’t be unfair, Lovelle herself credits Amy Winehouse as the artist that sparked her desire to take singing seriously, “Just [Amy Winehouse] and everything she was about is why I wanted to sing.”
Lovelle has accomplished a staggering amount in a short space of time. Uh-Oh, her debut single was released in June this year and went on to feature within the recent Max Factor ad campaign. Uh-Oh, which featured UK dancehall MC Lady Chan, was the perfect introduction of this young vocalist to the music industry. Lovelle has since performed at Glastonbury, taken Ibiza by storm and been celebrated by publications as varied as NME and RWD magazine.
